Problem
Public Safety agencies face significant challenges in providing realistic and effective training for officers, particularly in high-stress situations. Traditional training methods often lack the realism and immersion necessary to adequately prepare officers for real-world scenarios. Additionally, coordinating and conducting hands-on training exercises can be logistically challenging and resource-intensive for agencies.
Solution
Wrap Reality addresses these challenges by creating a unique training environment for Public Safety agencies through its VR platform. The VR platform is used by command and training staff to support existing instructional curriculums, enabling practice of skills in use of force, de-escalation, observation, immersion, process and procedure, and more.
Other features
The Wrap Reality library of content currently contains over forty (40) pre-scripted training modules, in addition to our ADAPT module. ADAPT is designed to allow trainers the flexibility to customize the curriculum to the needs of their trainees. Wrap Technologies provides two full days of hands-on, System Operator training on location at the customer agency.
Wrap Reality force options include a simulated handgun; BolaWrap remote restraint; CEW or Stun Gun; OC spray; shotgun and simulated AR-15 rifle. Force options are designed to fit in a user’s issued duty belt.
The VR training system comes in two or three hard-sided storage cases that can be easily transported in a sedan or small SUV. The system unpacks and sets up in 20 to 30 minutes.
A user can train in approximately 900 square feet of clear floor space (30’ x 30’). For effective training, a minimum of 400 square feet (20’ x 20’) should be available. There are no lighting restrictions with Wrap Reality. Wrap Technologies provides two full days of hands-on, System Operator training on location at the customer agency.
